A multiple-choice and short answer test for Chinua Achebe’s novel, Things Fall Apart.
- 20 Multiple-Choice Questions
- 4 Short Answer Questions
- Answer Key for All Sections (Including Suggested Short Answer Content)
- Optional Simplified Scoring Rubric for Short Answer Section
This test can be used as a single, comprehensive test on Achebe’s novel or split into two assessments by using the multiple-choice section and the short answer sections separately.
The multiple-choice questions mainly focus on plot, character and conflict. The short answer questions offer a chance for students to think more deeply about the novel and engage thoughtfully with theme, conflict and character in Things Fall Apart.
An optional simplified scoring rubric is included to help bring clarity/transparency and speed to the grading process. It can be copied and shared with students (or not) as preferred.
