MLA Citations Workshop

Description

Citation formatting can be challenging for students (so it quickly becomes an instructional challenge for teachers).

In our experience, it helps to go beyond sharing one or two standard citation examples. Students also appreciate the chance to practice citations outside of their formal papers where the stakes are not so high.

This resource offers a variety of informational materials and exercises designed to clarify the formatting rules of MLA in-text citations. Resources include notes on citing from literature as well as from research sources.

Each individual resource is presented here in a Projectable Format and a Printable Format.
